  • The Wrestler focuses on a former professional wrestler (Mickey Rourke) who seeks to relive his passion by fighting in the ring once again despite his health. He tries to restore his strained relationship with daughter (Evan Rachel Wood) and rebuild his life since his untimely retirement twenty years before.

    The trailer begins by showing Randy "The Ram" Robinson getting in costume for the ring and meeting fans and supporters. The shot cuts to Robinson meeting with a exotic dancer and building a relationship with her. She inquires about a photo of his daughter and inspires him to try and rebuild a relationship with her. As he reenters the ring after his retirement he declares to his fans "Alot of people have told me that I'll never wrestle again. The only ones who can tell me when I'm done doing my thing is you people here".
