  • Pin Evolution Information

There are 300 pins in total and certain pins evolve and others do not. The pins can only evolve when the correct PP is dominant. There are three different types of PP. They are: Battle PP (BPP) acquired from battles, Shutdown PP (SDPP) acquired by saving and switching off your DS for a specific amount of time, and Mingle PP (MPP) gained from using mingle mode. Depending on which PP is dominant certain pins can evolve in different ways. BPP are the easiest points to earn. SDPP slows down with time with the first day gaining you 1 SDPP per 10 minute while the fifth day will only give you 1 SDPP every 160 minutes. This requires you to strategize on saving and turning off your DS if a specific pin requires the SDPP to be dominant. MPP is awarded with 50 MPP for mingling with DS that is playing The World Ends With You, 20 MPP for a DS playing any other game, and 100 MPP is given out as a random bonus. A PP is dominant when one of them has a larger experience bar than the others. The experience bar for 1 SDPP and 1 MPP will have 9 times as much space as 1 BPP.
