The World Ends With You, entitled It's A Wonderful World in Japan, is a role-playing game for the Nintendo DS. The game was developed by Square Enix and Jupiter Corporation. Game Setting
The World Ends With You takes place in present-day Tokyo. You play as a fifteen year old boy who has lost his memory. Equipped with a magical black pin (that allows him to read the minds of the other characters) and a cell phone, he attempts to locate clues and solve puzzles. The game utilizes the stylus in a fashion similar to Picross DS during the "Noise Battle" sequences.Game References
The World Ends With You is based on the Shibuya youth culture. Shibuya is one of the many districts that exist in present-day Tokyo. The game's influence can clearly be seen through the images and video of the marketplaces and other visuals. The artwork itself is classic anime imagery.
