• The Witcher is a role-playing game for the PC that was based on a book series by Andrzej Sapkowski.

  • Story

    You play as Geralt, a Witcher (warrior) that has experienced mutations and trials from childhood that have helped him to develop into the perfect weapon. Geralt earns a living by killing monsters and serving a brotherhood that protects people from werewolves, the undead and other monsters. There is also quite a bit of discrimination against non-humans such as elves and dwarves. This discrimination makes life a little harder for Geralt since he is no longer either a full human or full non-human due to his mutations.

  • Gameplay

    Combat uses a timing-based clicking system. Clicking once will initiate an attack. Once the attack animation begins, players can either wait for a yellow flaming sword icon (normal difficulty) or an orange sword arc (high difficulty) to click again. You can chain the attacks into devastating combos. The more skill points you have, the stronger your attacks. Double tapping on direction keys will cause Geralt to dodge. For easier combat, there are three camera modes players can choose. The strength of the combat is in the constant need to change between fighting styles. Geralt has access to five different signs which range from direct damage to causing fear or pain that stuns enemies.
