The Vines

The Vines are an Australian Hard Rock band who rose the Garage Rock craze of the early 2000s to multi-platinum success and critical acclaim (along with band such as The White Stripes and The Strokes). Fronted by lead-singer Craig Nicholls, the band hit it big with their debut album Highly Evolved, which featured the Nirvana-inspired single "Get Free". While the band's next few albums didn't receive the attention as their debut, they have continued to write and record music, even though Nicholls was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome. The band is scheduled to release their latest album, the tentatively titled Brain Dead, in 2008.
