The Vampire Chronicles is a series of books written by Anne Rice that deal with the lives of several vampires over the centuries. Several of the books have been made into movies most notably Interview with the Vampire, which starred Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and Christian Slater. Queen of the Damned was based on the novels The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned however many fans of the book series question whether the script writer's ever read one of the books in the Vampire Chronicles. Two of the most famous vampires came from The Vampire Chronicles, Lestat de Lioncourt and Louis de Pointe du Lac.
