The Used is a four piece rock band from Utah that formed in January of 2001. They made the demo CD Demos from the Basement in 2001 and handed them out for free at the end of their shows. There were only 200 copies made and is now almost impossible to get a copy of it. In 2002, The Used released their first full length self titled album. The album was extremely successful and was certified gold. "A Box Full of Sharp Objects" is the first single from the debut album. The second album In Love and Death refers to the the tragedies that singer Bert McCracken experienced. His girlfriend who was pregnant with his child died of a drug overdose, and shortly after that his dog died.
