Spotlight For Genre Writers

The Twilight Zone was an anthology series, meaning each episode featured a self-contained story that stood on its own. Characters, plots, and settings did not carry over from one episode to the next. This allowed creator Rod Serling to hire many different writers for the show -- a who's who of famous science fiction, fantasy, and horror authors that included Richard Matheson, Jerry Sohl, George Clayton Johnson, Ray Bradbury, Damon Knight, Jerome Bixby, and Ambrose Bierce.
