About Henry James
Henry James was born April 15, 1916 in New York City. His father was an a wealthy intellectual and allowed his son to receive a top notch eduction. James was able to study all over Europe, including Geneva, London and Paris. His first novel, Watch Andy Ward, was published in 1871. His other notable works include Daisy Miller, The Portrait of a Lady and Wings Of The Dove. He spent most of his adulthood outside of the United States and even went 25 years without setting foot on American soil. -
