Plot Synopsis
Centered around three boys in the 1950's. Starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn, its the tale the Mr and Mrs O'brien's (Brad Pitt and Jessica Chastain) eldest son's loss of innocence and eventually try to regain the meaning of life.The story traces the evolution of Jack, an 11 year old, who is one of three brothers. Everything seem well through the eyes of a child. His thoughts change when those youthful eyes witness glimpses of sickness, suffering, and death.
As Jack turns into an adult played by Sean Penn, his once youthful innocence becomes a lost soul in a modern world.
The story ends in hope, acknowledging the beauty and joy in all things, in the everyday and above all in the family. The only place that most of us learn the truth about the world and ourselves, or discover life's single most important lesson, of unselfish love.
