Variety reports that actor Ben Affleck will write and direct The Town, a film adaptation of Chuck Hogan's novel The Prince of Thieves.Variety: Ben Affleck moves to WB's 'Town' (September 15, 2008)
Affleck will also star in the film as a thief stuck in a love triangle with a bank manager and an FBI agent who wants to arrest him. As of September 2008, Affleck was still working on the screenplay.
