The Toe Tactic is a film directed by Emily Hubley that combines animation with live action scenes. The story follows a grieving woman who loses her wallet and, in searching for it, enters a world of lonely neighbors, singing elevator attendants and love-struck piano teachers. As the film progresses the fates of the eccentric characters is manipulated by a group of card-playing dogs. Hubley's feature film debut, The Toe Tactic premiered during the 2008 South by Southwest Film Festival. The film has been criticized for its screenplay, which was a collaborative work of the Sundance Screenwriters and Filmmakers Labs.
