The Thin Man is a film based on the detective novel by Dashiell Hammett, starring William Powell and Myrna Loy as famous fictional duo Nick and Nora Charles. The film is considered a classic comic-detective film and it spawned five sequels.
Plot Summary
Nick Charles, a retired detective, along with his wealthy wife, Nora, go to New York City to celebrate Christmas and end up solving a murder. Dorothy Wynant asks for Nick's help to locate her missing father, the inventor Clyde Wynant. When Wyant's secretary is murdered he becomes the chief suspect. Nick, Nora and their intrepid dog Asta investigate to discover the truth.
