The Swell Season is a band comprised of singer-songwriters Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova. The duo, who starred in the film, Once, recorded an album in 2006, also called "The Swell Season." The album features four songs from the Once Soundtrack, "Falling Slowly", "When Your Minds Made Up", "Lies" and "Leave".
The song "Falling Slowly" won an Oscar in 2008 for Best Original Song.
