The Starter Wife chronicles the life of Molly Kagen Debra Messing following her divorce from her movie mogul husband. The Starter Wife was originally a 2007 mini-series based on the novel of the same name by Gigi Levangie Grazer but returned to USA Network as a series in the fall of 2008 starring Debra Messing, Hart Bochner, Chris Diamantopoulous and Judy Davis.
