The Sorcerer's Apprentice stars Nicolas Cage as a wizard in a live-action version of Disney's classic segment from the animated film, Fantasia.
At approximately 1 a.m on May 4, 2009, two people were injured when a car chase stunt sequence went awry in NY'sTimes Square. The accident occurred as a Ferrari chased a Mercedes-Benz down 7th Avenue and the Ferrari's stunt driver lost control of the vehicle and hydroplaned. The car skidded onto a sidewalk before crashing into the entrance of a Sbarro pizza parlor. Synopsis
- The live-action version of The Sorcerer's Apprentice is the story an apprentice, (Jay Baruchel) who is supposed to take care a magic workshop when the sorcerer wizard (Nicolas Cage) leaves it in his hands. Based on the a portion of the Disney animated film Fantasia, the apprentice tries to make his job of cleaning up the workshop easier by getting a broomstick to do the chores for him.
