The Sonics are a legendary '60s rock band from Tacoma, Washington. The band's sound is one of the earliest examples of the simple, ragged style that would later develop into punk rock, grunge and, especially, garage rock. The band's trademark "fuzz" guitar sound became a touchstone for mainstream and psychedelic rock in the '60s, and has frequently been revived by subsequent bands. Their most famous songs include "Strychnine," "The Witch" and "Psycho." In 2007 the Sonics reunited, and released a live CD, Busy Body! Live in Tacoma 1964.
