The Song of Sparrows, also known as Avaze gonjeshk-ha, is a 2008 film from Iran. The movie is directed by Majid Majidi. The screenplay is written by Mehran Kashani and Majid Majidi.

The Song of Sparrows is a 2008 Iranian film. The plot centers on a man named Karim. Karim is a hard working decent family man who lives in rural area. He makes a humble living working on an ostrich farm. One day a ostrich runs away and he is held responsible and fired. When he travels into the city to replace a hearing aid for his daughter, he gives a man a ride as a favor. But when he delivers the man effectively to his destination, Karim is given a fee for his service. With few options more financially lucrative, Karim gets the idea to start a taxi service in the city. He becomes a modest success in his new venture and it's not long before the big city pace and attitude affect his personality and outlook on life. One day he breaks his foot and he returns to the simple life of the country he was once accustomed to.
