Plot Summary
Scotty Smalls, the new kid in town is having difficulty making new friends, especially when the neighborhood boys discover that Scotty knows nothing about baseball. Because the team is one member short, Scotty is grudgingly admitted to the Sandlot baseball team and begins to develop a passion and talent for the game. When Scotty hits the team's only ball into the yard of "The Beast," he replaces it with his stepfather's ball signed by Babe Ruth. This ball also ends up in the clutches of "The Beast," so Scotty sets out to retrieve the priceless souvenir and thwart "The Beast" once and for all.
