The Room Movie

Tommy Wiseau's The Room is an independent film made in 2003 that has gained a cult following in Los Angeles. The story revolves around a love triangle filled with betrayal, and as fans still line up to see this late night film in Rocky Horror Picture Show fashion, many deem that it is so bad it's good.

About the Director

Wiseau trained in acting at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco and Stella Adler Studio of Acting in Los Angeles. In 2003 Wiseau decided to adapt The Room which was originally a play and novel by the same name that he wrote.

Article Excerpts

"During the movie, audience members shout out their own commentary about the dialogue, the sets -- and notably, the framed photograph of a spoon that inexplicably reappears. Each time this happens, plastic spoons are thrown at the screen, in the can-do spirit of Rocky Horror Picture Show fans." -NPR
