The Reader Trailer

The Reader, starring Kate Winslet and Ralph Fiennes, is based on the novel of the same name by Bernhard Schlink.

The trailer for The Reader begins with a woman asking a man (Ralph Fiennes), "Why don't you start with being honest with me." The story of Michael and Hanna (Kate Winslet) is told in a series of flashbacks by Michael (Fiennes). One summer, when Michael was a teenager, he had an affair with Hanna (Kate Winslet), an older woman. Michael reads to Hanna which becomes an integral part of their relationship. Several years later they meet again but this time Michael is a law student and Hanna is on trial for Nazi war crimes. Michael is shocked when witnesses reveal that Hanna selected prisoners to read to her.Official Site: The Reader
