Ian Adams Influence
In 2002, singer and multi-instrumentalist Ian Adams, then a member of the group Happy Supply, joined The Ponys and made some sharp alterations in their overall sound. While they had once been a relatively mainstream guitar-heavy rock band, Adams wrote more experimental, poppy songs, and added keyboards and an additional guitar to the mix.
Adams left the band in 2005, after recording the band's second full-length album, Celebration Castle. He was replaced by Brian Case, previously of the band 90 Day Men.
