  • The Pointer Sisters is an R&B and pop group of sisters that achieved great success in the 1970s and 1980s. Its single, "Neutron Dance" was prominently featured on the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack.
  • Career

    The Pointer sisters were first signed to Atlantic Records in 1971, with no success, but was well received by live audiences. After they switched to Blue Thumb Records, they were asked to record a series of instructional videos for children, their most popular was the counting video "Pinball Number Count" on Sesame Street in 1977. While they remained popular with a varying hits, the pinicle of their success would begin with the song "He's So Shy" in 1980, "I'm So Excited" and "Automatic" both in 1984.

    Their hit single "Automatic" was featured on the video game Vice City.
