Plot Summary
The Pianist tells the true story of Wladyslaw Szpilman, a piano player who survived life in the Warsaw ghetto during World War II. Based on Szpilman's autobiography, the film details the Nazi invasion of Poland, the Warsaw Uprising and Poland's eventual liberation by the Red Army.
