  • Chicago's Paul Butterfield Blues Band consisted of Paul Butterfield on vocals and harmonica, Mike Bloomfield on guitar, Elvin Bishop also on guitar, Mark Naftalin on organ, Jerome Arnold on bass, and Sam Lay on drums. Their debut album The Paul Butterfield Blues Band was released in 1965 and served as an inspiration for a generation of musicians who would incorporate Chicago-style blues into their rock 'n' roll.
