• The Other Boleyn Girl is a 2008 Period film based on the book of the same name by Philippa Gregory. The film is directed by Justin Chadwick and stars Natalie Portman, Eric Bana and Scarlett Johansson.

  The Other Boleyn Girl is about the competition between two sisters, Anne (played by Natalie Portman) and Mary Boleyn (played by Scarlett Johansson), who vie for the love of Henry VIII of England (played by Eric Bana). Their father Thomas Boleyn (played by Mark Rylance) and uncle, The Duke of Norfolk (played by David Morrissey), scheme to gain power from the girls' relationship to the King. They play off of Henry's unhappiness with his current wife, Catherine of Aragon (played by Ana Torrent), and eventually convince him to break from the Catholic Church so that he can be granted a divorce.
