Plot Summary
Gogol Ganguli is the son of two Indian-American immigrants and has trouble assimilating into American culture. The story follows his journey to his parents' homeland of India. Along the way, Gogol learns the story of his mother and father's courtship and marriage. He also learns of the series of improbable events that inspired his name and the history his parents hoped to pass on to Gogal by giving him that name. -
