Story and Cast
The film is hosted and narrated by the Muppet Gonzo (Dave Goelz), who introduces himself as “Charles Dickens.” He tells the story of one Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine), a cruel and greedy landowner with no Christmas spirit. Scrooge is given a chance to change his ways, and is visited by three (Muppet) ghosts on Christmas eve: the Ghost of Christmas Past (Jessica Fox), The Ghost of Christmas Present (Donald Austen) and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come (Robert Tygner). Scrooge is made to see the result of his present cruelty with regards to his employee Bob Cratchit (Kermit the Frog/Steve Whitmire), his wife Emily (Miss Piggy/Frank Oz) and their crippled son Tiny Tim (Jerry Nelson). Through this supernatural journey Scrooge has an epiphany that changes his heart. -

It'll be hard to ever make a better version of A Christmas Carol than the Muppet one. Jim Carrey and 3D will definitely not do it.

"A Muppet Christmas Carol" is still unchallenged, although I still have warm fuzzies for the Eighties TV version with George C. Scott.

Is it too early to throw a "Muppet's Christmas Carol" in the DVD player? It reminds me of a simpler time.
