The Moody Blues are a British classic rock band formed in Birmingham, England. After recording albums for Decca Records in the mid-1960s, the band came upon what would be its signature sound with 1967's Days of Future Passed, an album that included the hit single "Nights in White Satin." Their music was soon characterized by its complex orchestrations and prog-rock tendencies.
After splitting up in 1974, The Moody Blues reunited three years later and found new success in such '80s hits as "In Your Wildest Dreams" and "I Know You're Out There Somewhere."
Moody Blues Biography
The Moody Blues first came on the rock scene in 1967 with the album Days of Future Passed. Led by guitarist/vocalist Justin Hayward, bassist/vocalist John Lodge and drummer {Graeme Edge]], The Moody Blues were a huge part of the British Invasion, with hits like Tuesday Afternoon, [[I'm Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band)] and their anthem Nights in White Satin, which combined rock, pop and other genres in one hit.
After breaking up in 1974, the group got back together in the 1980s and found success again with their 1986 album The Other Side of Life, which featured the hits Once Upon a Time and I Know You're Out There Somewhere.
Now into their fifth decade, The Moody Blues continues to tour and make music as they are an undeniable part of pop culture and look forward to following their incredible journey.
