The Microphones, also known as Mount Eerie, is an indie band based in Olympia, WA that is led by musician Phil Elvrum. Their music is generally experimental, applying different effects to organic sounds to create music that, combined with Elvrum's soft vocals and esoteric lyrics, is known for its imagination and innovation.
