  • Plot Synopsis

    Yoshitsune, a general during the Gempei War, is on the run with six of his bodyguards. His is chased by his former ally and brother, Yoritomo. To avoid capture, they try to reach Hidehira Fujiwara, who can provide shelter. They disguise as monks, and try to cross the border. When they run into some guards, Yoshitsune and one of his guards are dressed as porters. They are nearly recognized, but escape because the guard beats Yoshitsune, convincing that they are not the ones sought a after. Later, the guard humbly asks for forgiveness for slapping his master.
