The mild mannered computer programmer Thomas Anderson leads a double life as a computer hacker named "Neo". Neo discovers his life is part of a computer simulation. The year is around 2199 and not 1999 as he believed.

Neo realizes that he has less than 72 hours to save the Zion, the last city on Earth inhabited by humans.

The residents of Zion fight an invasion side-by-side with Neo as he discovers the full strength of his powers.
