The Lovin' Spoonful

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members the Lovin' Spoonful came to prominence once the frenzied response to the British Invasion of the mid- to late-1960s began to die down. Massive hit tunes like "Do You Believe In Magic?" and even the slightly harder-edged "Summer In the City" relied on folk rock foundations and a generally sunny disposition to usher in a movement towards poppier fare as the youth of America closed in on the "Summer of Love."
