The movie stars John Wayne, Thomas Mitchell, Barry Fitzgerald and Ian Hunter as crew members on a cargo ship during World War II. Plot Synopsis
The Long Voyage Home tells the story of crew members on the SS Glencairn, a cargo ship during World War II. The crew members come from all walks of life. Driscoll, played by Thomas Mitchell, is from Ireland. Olsen, played by John Wayne, is from Sweden. Smitty, played by Ian Hunter is from England. The crew has dangerous missions transporting explosives and sometimes encounter rough waters. Another concern about some of the crew members it Smitty, who they think is a German spy. Bary Fitzgerald co-stars as another crew member named Cocky.Cast
