Sometimes referred to as 'TLC', The Learning Channel is part of the Discovery Communications family of cable television networks.
Founded in 1972 and purchased by Discovery in 1991, the Channel has become a favorite for families.

The hit TLC show, Jon & Kate plus 8 drew a whopping audience of 10.6 million total viewers — setting a new all-time high for TLC as a whole.
