The Kooks are a four-piece rock band comprised of lead singer Luke Pritchard, guitarist Hugh Harris, bassist Max Rafferty, and drummer Paul Garred. The Kooks began playing together while attending the Brighton Music School and are known for their high-energy garage rock.
Album Background
Their debut album Inside In/Inside Out was released in January of 2006 peaking at #2 in the UK charts. The album has sold over a million copies and has been certified triple platinum. The follow up album, Konk, was released in 2008. The album takes it's name from the studio where it was recorded, which is owned by former Kinks frontman Ray Davies. The album reached #1 in the UK.
