  • The Jesus Lizard is a Chicago-based rock band formed in 1987 by former Scratch Acid members David Yow, David W. Sims and former Cargo Cult guitarist Duane Denison.
  • Post Break-up

    After splitting up in 1999, guitarist Denison played in Tomahawk, and continued to play with Jim Kimball in the Denison Kimball Trio. Yow relocated to Los Angeles where he plays in a band called Qui. Bassist Sims moved to New York City where he works as an accountant and drummer McNeilly plays in a band called Mouse with his wife.
  • Reunion

    It was announced the band would be reuniting for a series of live dates in 2009. The first show the band is scheduled to play is the All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in Minehead, England. The band will be taking part in the Fans Strike Back series. It was also announced that Touch and Go Records would be reissuing the albums Head, Goat, Liar, and Down.Pitchfork: The Jesus Lizard Reunite (November 26, 2008)
