The Verse
In the book 6th chapter of the book of Revelations, it describes what happens as Jesus takes the first four of seven seals off a scroll. As each of the seals is removed, a horse appears, the last with Death as the rider. These horsemen have come to be known as the "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse."
- After the 1st seal is broken a white horse appears, its rider holds a bow
- After the 2nd seal is broken a red horse appears, its rider holds a sword
- After the 3rd seal is broken a black horse appears, its rider holds a pair of scales
