  • Review Quotes

    • "Never play hide-and-seek in a haunted house. Isn't that one of those motherisms handed down at the same time as Look both ways before crossing the street? But kids will be kids, especially in the movies. But it has plenty of creep-you-out potential for kids just discovering big-screen horror. For adults, not so much."—Mercury NewsMercury News: Reviews: The Haunting in Connecticut (March 27, 2009)
    • "Fact is, while the bare bones of this supernatural thriller about a possessed house are rooted in actual events (which were, it should be pointed out, far eerier than any of director Peter Cornwell's mechanics), the meat of the movie is Hollywood at its most bogus -- loud but gloomy, flashy but dull, and tailored for hyper-impatient attention spans. Give it this, though: It is a fright-fest perfectly attuned to the housing crisis -- from Flip This House to Flip Out In This House."—Winnipeg SunWinnipeg Sun: This Haunting is No Classic (March 27, 2009)
