The Haunted Mansion is a Walt Disney Pictures film based on the ride of the same name, at Disney World Theme Parks.
Background
The Haunted Mansion was directed by Rob Minkoff who directed the films The Lion King, Stuart Little , Stuart Little 2 and The Forbidden Kingdom starring Jet Li and Jackie Chan. The film is based on the popular Disneyland attraction of the same name. In 2003, the film was the second film released by Walt Disney Pictures based on a ride with Pirates of the Carribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl released earlier on July 9th, 2003. The film earned generally poor reviews, but was a box office hit earning $75, 759,571 in the U.S. and reportedly $106,443,000 outside of the United States.
