The Guess Who formed in Winnipeg, Canada in the early '60s. After scoring hits in their native country, they broke into the American market with 1969's "These Eyes." From there they produced a steady stream of hits, including "No Sugar Tonight," "Hand Me Down World," and "American Woman," the latter of which became the first ever #1 single in the United States by a Canadian band.
Though they disbanded in 1975, The Guess Who have since frequently reunited and toured with different incarnations of the lineup.
