A remake of a Japanese horror film also directed by Takashi Shimizu, The Grudge stars Sarah Michelle Gellar as an American student who stumbles into unspeakable horror while living in Tokyo. Several actors from the Japanese original revised their roles in this version.
Plot Synopsis
In The Grudge, Karen (Sarah Michelle Gellar) is an American student living in Tokyo with her boyfriend Doug (Jason Behr). Asked to fill in for a nurse who fails to show up for work, Karen ends up entering a house that destroys the lives of anyone who enters by causing them to die in a fit of incredible rage.
