Plot
Former prison guard Paul Edgecomb (played by actor Dabbs Greer in the framing device and in flashbacks by Tom Hanks) reminisces about his experiences working as a guard on death row at a prison in Louisiana. An inmate (Michael Clark Duncan), sentenced to the electric chair for murdering a child, seems to have the power of faith healing. -
