Sharing on Twitter
With Twitter you can post messages in 140 characters, which means if you are sharing Mahalo pages you only have enough room for a headline and a link. To get more room, you can use an URL Shortener such as Bit.ly - These will still link to your Mahalo page, but the URL in Twitter will be shorter. Also, each Mahalo page has a "Tweet" button in the sidebar, by clicking that button Mahalo will automatically tweet the page for you on Twitter.
When you share a link on Twitter it is sent out to your "followers" - the most efficient way to share Mahalo links would be to engage your followers to comment. It is also good etiquette to not only use your Twitter account to promote Mahalo, be a good twitter citizen and reply to your followers, retweet your friends gems and engage in conversations. The more you respect the etiquette of Twitter, the more popular you will become and the more your followers will trust you.
To share on Twitter and more easily follow your friends, we recommend using a desktop application such as Twhirl and/or TweetDeck.
A Master list of Mahalo Twitter members can be found here.
