The Gories were a Detroit-based garage rock band led by frontman Mick Collins.
The band formed in 1986, taking their name from a fictitious band that appeared on an episode of Gidget. Their debut album, "Houserockin'," was said to have been recorded in a tin shack. The band released two more albums before breaking up. Frontman Mick Collins, who went on to form The Dirtbombs.
