From the writer of Chuck & Buck, the script for The Good Girl is considered a modern day version of Lady Chatterley's Lover and Madame Bovary. Also Jake Gyllenhaal's character inspiration comes from author Holden Caulfield, whom the stock boy character he plays believes he's an incarnation of. -
