The Good Earth is a fiction novel by the Nobel Prize winning author Pearl S. Buck. It is the first book in the three part series, followed by Sons and A House Divided.

The Good Earth tells of a Chinese farmer and his family, and how their lives and fortunes are connected to the land they farm.
