Electronic Arts has announced a number of downloadable content, or DLC, packs they have planned for The Godfather 2 Game, their action-strategy game based on The Godfather films. All of the DLC packs will be released for purchase from the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Store on April 23, 2009.

The five weapons added to the game in the Level 4 Weapons Bundle are not immediately made available to the player upon purchase of the DLC. The weapons are indeed unique items, but players still have to work their way through the normal game content to access them. The guns have stats intended for more advanced players and so having the content immediately accessible at the start of the game would ruin the fun.

Jimmy Lira, the character available in the Jack of All Trades DLC, is potentially a very powerful character. He arrives already specialized in four categories and can ultimately become an expert in all six categories available in the game. But players purchasing the DLC won't immediately have access to Jimmy in all his maxed out glory.
