Quotes
"There’s quite a few different sides to FSOL, there is the very, very abstract, what we term the more male, machine music. We tried to not go too extreme into that but keep it melodic, experimental..." &mdash Garry Cobain, interview with Barcodehttp://www.barcodezine.com/The%20Future%20Sound%20Of%20London%20Interview.htm
"And that was the FSOL thing, we invented the idea of inert, armchair sampling, the idea that at some point you would just make music sitting in an armchair accessing everything coming through one system." &mdash Garry Cobain, interview with Barcodehttp://www.barcodezine.com/The%20Future%20Sound%20Of%20London%20Interview.htm
Promotional Video for The Future Sound of London
This is a promotional video for The Future Sound of London album, "Lifeforms." It show cases the bands penchant for ambient synthesizers, organic sound effects and cavernous drum beats to create a "living" aural atmosphere. The video also showcases the band's obsession with abstract and basically rendered 3D art environments. This visual style would be a running motif through most of their albums and music compilations.
