The Fury is a science fiction thriller written by John Farris and directed by Brian De Palma. It is based on Farris' novel The Fury and was released on March 10, 1978. The movie stars Kirk Douglas as Peter Sandza, a government agent, who survives a terrorist attack while on vacation with his son and associate, played by Andrew Stevens and John Cassavetes.
Plot Synopsis
The Fury tells the story of a goverment agent Peter Sandza, played by Kirk Douglas, surviving an attack set up by his associate Ben Childress, played by John Cassavetes. The purpose of the attack was to kidnap Sandza's son Robin, played by Andrew Stevens. Sandza gets help from a pyschic named Hester, played by Carrie Snodgress. Through Hester, Sandza meets a high school girl named Gillian, played by Amy Irving, who may be able to lead him to his son. Charles Durning co-stars as Dr. Jim McKeever.
